My 22 Yr old son is a Leaf fan.
My 8 yr old son and 10 yr old daughter both have friends here for a sleepover.

Things that may happen tonight;
Option 1
- Oilers get man handled
- I drink too much whisky to drown sorrows
- chirp 22 yr old
- we are forced to fight. He is 6'4' about 235 and has fists like cinder blocks. I have dad tricks. It wont end pretty.
- Wife is mad at both of us

Option 2
- Oilers win.
- I celebrate with whisky
- steps 3, 4 and 5 are the same

Option 3
- sleepover rowdiness of 8 and 10 yr old distracts me from the game
- steps 2, 3, 4 and 5 remain intact

Only constant is Whiskey

Hi, my name is PlusOne and I am an Oilers/children induced alcoholic.

Quick update at 2-0

I emptied my go to brand of bourbon. Usually have a back up on hand but I not tonight.

Got a bottle of this ,
https://www.lcbo.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/en/lcbo/jp-wi sers-old-fashioned-625996-1#.XIRaryhKi00,
for Christmas and had been avoiding it.

Cracked it open tonight out of necessity and was pleasantly surprised. If you like an Old Fashined it is better then decent in a pinch. Not as good as making a proper one but not bad at all.

Indeed, it’s better than expected! Polished a bottle of that over Christmas with the fam.

First drink needed seeing that spot on the CBC main cam lens in the lower left. It is driving me crazy.

Cam spot has been cleaned. Poured a new bourbon to celebrate

Either CBC has a spot on it's camera, or I have a spot on my TV that only shows up on one camera angle.

Nope, I mentioned it above as well, it is CBC. When the puck goes to the Oilers end it is especially distracting.

Nice having Leafs-centric commercials on the totally unbiased corporate Toronto hockey broadcast.

This has been a running theme this year in the GDT's.

I try to make it a rule not to EVER complain about reffing but it does seem to be worse this year.
I dont believe for a second there is some anti-Oilers conspiracy or bias, I just think the refs arent very good.
Being in Regina there isn't a clear, favorite team. Among buddies I talk hockey with the only thing agreed on is the low quality of reffing, or more specifically, the consistency.

Another running theme.
Do you think a national broadcast owes some equal airtime of some sort?
Being anti-Leafs outside of TO is as natural as complaining about Oilers coaching but like it or not the market is huge and will always dominate commercial airtime.
Complaining about TSN spending 75% time talking Leafs is totally warranted but it's illogical to think that you will see anything but east slanted commercials.

I am really enjoying Kassian with McDavid.
Quick enough to be in the play when 97 takes.
Simply heads to the net with his stick down.
Decent enough hands to make a play if the puck gets to him.
Added bones; Slightly insane, not afraid of anyone so if McDavid gets dirtied I have no doubt Kassian will go nuclear
