I assume the only reason he's there is because he now lives in Nashville, the Oilers are there and he took time out of his busy schedule to see the team he loves. Stacey hadn't assigned him any tasks today after he offered to help her as a good husband, so he had time to see the Oilers.
I was thinking about Smyth though this week as a similar meat-and-potatoes, completely underrated player had his number retired in Arizona. Once again, I thought - please, honour the organization further by retiring #94...
Of course, after everything else that's happened with this team, how much better could it get. Retiring Smyth's number would just be one more great achievement by the Oilers.

If we retire #94, we may as well just add another stupid looking banner for the fans - maybe a second #7 to the rafters? - and put "EDMONTON" over the Oilers symbol, just in case anyone can't figure that part out.
