Did Eberle just win a board battle with Lucic? I was told that's why we got rid of him?

Lucic will win that battle when they’re during the playoffs.

Said everyone back in 2016/17. And then he won next to no battles in 2 rounds of the playoffs.

But does he have a cup ring?

Honestly, Lucic has probably won 15 board battles total since he joined the OIlers. His lack of skills on the boards and inability to find pucks within 1-2 ft of him will probably remain one of the most surprising things I discovered from watching the Oilers.

6'3" 240 lb turd that depends on the rush to score.

Not that it makes a lick of difference, but Nurse gets a 10 min misconduct and Lee gets nothing for the slash across Nurse's face?

Okay then.

Nurse gave it to the linesman who was grabbing him, if you could read lips he was calling him every name in the book and deservedly so. Guaranteed that’s where the 10 came from.

That was a BS call, Lee slashes him in the face.
Now that the game is over I'm waiting for Nurse to take him OUT.

Looks like we need to find the next Hasek. This team could only hope to win 1-0 now.

Lee better get a fine or suspension for that nasty slash to NUrse's face.

I figure the only difference between them will be the jersey name and number, other than that they'll look the same in net and have very similar numbers. The Tower of Power tandem will not be NHL quality.

I wonder if Stolarz will be a UFA next year?

My guess is in the near future they will start giving him the nod, but he will get lit up with this team in front of him. Then they will figure “why bother?” and go back to trying to prove Koskinen is an NHL starter.

He will be a UFA next season. And I likely won’t even care by then.

With all the chatter about Hitchcock not ending the year with the team/management telling Hitch to calm down... do we see our second coach firing tonight?

This organization is a joke.

It's not his fault that the lineup is trash. But he sure can make things a living hell for these players now. Unfortunately, no matter how hard this team tries, they likely still lose like crazy. So, it's basically him beating on a bunch of trash players that will suck no matter how hard they try. Kinda sad.

It's kind of sad Hitchcock's career is coming to an end with this embarrassment. Peter Chiarelli's legacy, dumping nuclear waste in a well that already had high levels of lead and arsenic.
