They'll lose bad again if this continues. Forward peeled off and just allowed a Shark without the puck to skate right to the net. Need better effort and hockey IQ than that.

He's 50/50 engaged in any particular game, he's got a few goals recently, pressure is off, so is his engagement.
Chaisson looking poor, or maybe he's returning to the mean. hoping the Oilers don't sign him now, as has been discussed.
Reider is a waste of bench space.

Chaisson returned to the mean back in December. Guy has been cratering possession stats of everyone he's been with for 2 months straight. He takes McDavid's game down more than Caggiula did.

I think he's more useless on McDavid's line. He's making McDavid play in his own end way more than needed because he's one of our worst wingers defensively.
He had a nice run of scoring on every 2nd shot for a month, but that was about it. He's Letestu now after Letestu's hot run back in 16/17, minus the ability to win a faceoff.

Drai just gave up on the backcheck costing a goal. Thats the crap that's killing us. Not a lack of talent, a lack of give a damn.

So who missed their man on the Kane goal? That's about as wide open and easy a goal as you can get. Guess we're taking the night off.

He pulled a Lazy Leon there for sure, I watched the replay. Guess he figures he only needs to try when on offence. Brutal! I don't care how gassed you are, at least give us some effort!

It’s the biggest game of the year at home where they have lost 10 of the last 12 and they aren’t even trying.

Seriously, what always stops me from putting $1000 on a single game like tonight? No way in hell the Oilers were winning this. Make $600 in profit.

Doh. No perfection from McDavid/Drai/Nuge/Goalie it looks like. Winning is impossible tonight then since no one else can make up for that on this team. Hopefully the Quadra-perfection can happen again within the next 3-4 games.

Some bad reffing out there. Oilers look horrible too. Trying to decide whether to watch more of this or go outside and shovel at -26, but that shovel is looking sexier than this game.

Brutal non-call there on Braun... clearly interferes on McDavid, hands to the face to slow him down, then a bit of a slew foot to trip him... all while McDavid is trying to get up the ice to negate an icing... BRUTAL. Then the ensuing face off in the Oil zone from the icing... goal sharks. Thanks refs. Thanks.
