Why can't this be a normal year? Team would be like 8 points out of the playoffs right now, knowing it's hopeless. They could be playing nice and loose, more entertaining.
Instead we get this pathetic team buckling under the pressure of there being a tiny glimmer of hope left. Just get it over with already, stop sucking wildcard teams and put some distance between the Oilers and the last spots.

It is clear that this team is no good. The fact that a few stats can be rattled off to pretend they arent terrible is an effect of the lower than normal required points to be in the hunt.
What I am getting at is you shouldn't worry. I am pretty sure it wont be long after the all star break that all hope is gone and loose, entertaining will be back on the agenda.
