55% predicted the Oilers would win, and some think optimism is dead on this site.
Garbage time goals leave a flattering score, the Oilers were dominated for 55 mins. The first 5 things looked good, then the Sharks started playing.
Bad team gets beat by a good team. Rinse, repeat.

The d depth is so bad.
If one of Schultz Reinhart Sekera (or return on Yak if he was any good) pan out things might be different.
I can't wait for the Bouchard Bear Jones days.
I feel bad for anyone who braved the snow roads for that.

Turned it off after 3-1 sieve goal by Talbot.
Now they have two goalies that look like they can't win a game. Still, my bets on the 6'-7" guy.
With the exception of McD, what a woeful team.
Just to put things in perspective on Oiler success with drafting and development, if the Oilers didn't pickup Chaisson, Gravel, Reider, Rattie, Brodziak, and Koskinen as free agents or waiver, how grim would that team look?
Yikes.
McDAVID! Oh YEAH Baby!!
Tic-Tac-Tao!
Keep on Rockin' in the Free World
P. Chiarelli math.. T. Hall = A. Larsson, Yak= bag o'pucks (OK he got one right...) K. Russell = $4.1 M+NMC, G. Reinhart= M. Barzal + A. Beauvillier, J. Eberle = R. Spooner,

I have this vision in my mind where Katz is emperor palpatine telling Nicholson (Darth Maul) to wipe them out, all of them.

Only thing that can put this team in the right direction is a complete gut of management. Old boys club included. We have one decent prospect in the system. A complete mess. Hoping for Mcpoints and the team to fail in hopes that something is finally done. If it continues as bad as it looks it will and nothing is done at the end of the season then I don't see anything changing under this ownership. Katz is as much to blame as anyone and fire PC before he does something stupid. Again

Come on man, the bikes lanes are plowed. Can't you just be happy?
I just heard from a season ticket holder who popped into my work, after he walked out of the game, that they got an e-mail from the Oilers offering 40% discount on food and drinks for the 40 minutes before the game. Trying to encourage people to come to the games? Is it that bad? He also told me he doesn't plan to renew because the product both on and off ice is pretty bad. Sounds like we need a new arena in order to win.
Have been sarcastic about this organization since '92.... wish I could hope.

If the Oilers continue on this crappy downward spiral that's really the only way to go.

Can anyone really see them canning him mid season though. What can be fixed before the deadline? Just neuter him of power until a replacement is found in the spring. Even better let him have free reign to trade anyone but McDavid. He is due for a home run.

Now would be the perfect time for Nicholson to announce forensic audit 2.0. I know that would put my minds completely at ease.

..."Line combinations are:
Khaira - McDavid - Rattie
Rieder - Draisaitl - Yamamoto
Caggiula/Spooner - Nugent-Hopkins - Puljujarvi
Lucic - Brodziak - Kassian
Defence pairings are rotating. Primarily:
Jones - Larsson

Gravel - Benning
Sekera - Garrison
Chris Wideman left the ice before the main portion of practice. "...
of course, we know why Wideman left the ice...good luck to him....

They have no puck moving D. No offensive minded defensemen. Forwards can’t get the puck in the right spots, other teams are clamping down extra hard knowing they’re thin on the blue line. It’s that time of the season, the dog days, and unfortunately Oilers are battling injuries along with expected lethargy, as it is a long road. You can’t give 60 minute efforts every night, you just can’t. Goaltending takes a dip and the team’s confidence folds along with it. The initial bump from the coaching change has worn off. Guys are probably miserable knowing the season is on the brink of being over and that they just don’t have the horses. Would be hard not to look ahead and not ponder what it would take to squeak into the playoffs only to get ousted. Toiling in mediocrity, the worst spot to be in. Best thing they could do is tank and get another high pick and reset for next year, turfing Chia once the season is done.
