Listening to Hitch’s pre-game, he’s going to try something called “getting the puck on your forehand” during power plays. What a strange notion! I’ve always enjoyed us setting up for slow backhand slap shots! It allows us to keep our coach’s favourites on the ice even when they shoot the wrong way. After all, it’s not their fault they were born left Handed!

Whole chunks of empty seats in Denver. I sometimes wonder how some of these teams generate money.

2 posts for Connor already. One benefit of living out East and having to stream games is having the opportunity to listen to the opposition feeds.
Avs commentators just in awe of how smooth McDavid is around the ice.

I seriously hope we don't see a super biteback that causes several teams to fold simultaneously as we did with the CFL when they made their ill-advised attempt to expand into the U.S. Granted, hockey is a bit more popular than Canadian football, but Vegas?

I swear some of these Oiler's think it'll count double if the goal is created with a pretty pass.
Just shoot and let the chaos in front of the net create a chance.

Quinn channels his inner Bob Cole and I guess Mikko Rantanen is stopping pucks for the Oilers.

Plays like the one where MacKinnon somehow ended up all alone with the puck in front of the net need to be cut back if the Oil don't want to see their PK% go further down the rankings.

Well, I'll be optimistic by saying: it's always nice when the Oil can get scoring from players outside of #29, #97, and #93. Also, Koski appears to be continuing his winning "I am the number 1 in Edmonton" form.

Check out my posts from the 2016-17 season, as I was Mr.Sunshine for most of that year. The year after that saw a slight downturn in my outlook when combined with the 10 years of failure that directly preceded their playoff season. Hitch and Co are starting to put a little light back into my cold dark heart, however.

Did Benning's stick even touch his legs? That was as weak a call as I've ever seen....

His inconsistency when it comes to energy/compete(?) is what makes me think there’s no better place than on McDavid’s wing bc he can’t sustain being without Conner.

Connor is feeling it. One man cycle and about 2 minutes in the Avs zone. He could have a hatty by now.

Yeah, it’s concerning. Seems to happen with each D pairing too, not just one pair. It’s as though they are expecting the winger to cover the open side and it just doesn’t happen all the time. It doesn’t seem to happen as often though... thought maybe it’s less noticeable b/c there aren’t as many goals being scored on us right now.

Whatever else we may think of Chiapet, he has to be given credit for finding this guy.
P.S.: This doesn't make up for his major blunders, however.

Rantanen is legit the player that comes close, if not matches the danger McDavid presents on the ice. Dude is insanely talented and confident. Anytime the guy touches the puck... instant worry.
