This could get ugly. wonder if McLellan still wants a boat anchor stuck to his top 2 players again.

Lose this one and the season is starting to really get away from us.

Connor and Leon are praying things don’t get rough tonight.

....from the Oilers' website...

..."Goaltender Cam Talbot, who's 0-4-0 in his last four starts with a .857 save percentage and a 4.21 goals-against average, gets the start in goal for the Oilers. The netminder is 2-3-1 at home with a .889 save percentage this campaign."....

....the man is due for a great game....Go Oilers!!!!!! (is MOGA still a thing around here???).....

Counter-intuition eh?

Using that logic, the GM has made so many mind-boggling moves and the coach has made so many mind-boggling decisions that the Oilers are due to have a great rest of the season.

I honestly hope they do something positive today too, just not counting on it.

Tonight will help determine if there is a goaltending controversy. People are critical of the second goal against Koskinen with the rebound last night. Many goalies wouldn’t have stopped the original shot anyway. I thought he was solid for the most part.

I’m starting to be intrigued about Talbots response to the positive play of Koskinen. He needs to lock this one down.

This will be a tough game after such a demoralizing loss. McD will show up, a given, who else shows some character today?

Talbot looking like back-up material so far this year, he needs to show what he's got.

Or lack there of
This last two weeks is soul crushing for most players. Last night is likely the jewel in that crap crown

If this was a franchise with a decade of good management and a winning culture it is easier to expect them to power through.
I fully expect a "here we go again" attitude for most of the team.

I am mentally prepared for the worst showing of the year and will be pleasantly surprised with anything better
