Our inability to keep things close in losses has really been annoying this season.
Lost games:
5-3
5-1
3-1
4-2
6-4
4-3
6-4
6-5
4-0
3-0
6-1
2 losses by 1 goal. Rarely even giving ourselves a shot to get to OT. We let in 2 ENG's this year. So maybe 4 were within 1, but forget if any were when we were down 2 goals already.
Goaltending, terrible defensive play, not being ready to start games. Need to just get better.
Montreal has been pretty good this year, have dominated 5v5 with the best 5v5 GF% in the league. Kind of unlucky to not have more of those OT games turn into wins.

I said it before and I'll say it again: the Oilers really are a "feast or famine" kind of team- either they pull out wins, or they lose, often big-time as the Laffs were able to demonstrate on them. I guess the good thing is that they keep pulling wins out in regulation which will be big should it come down to tiebreakers for a playoff spot,.

"Sabres think the suck is their ally? They merely adopted the suck. The Oilers were born in it...molded by it."
