JP's looked pretty clueless out there so far. Out of position, floating, chasing the puck, bad passing, head up the you know what plays, etc. All of which are expected in a young player and can be coached out of them. Not sure of the level of 1-on-1 coaching they've been giving him or if they've just expected him to figure it out rather than try communicating with him.
Yamamoto has been invisible lately. He started okay but as the season has progressed he looks further and further behind the play. Needs some serious icetime not here.
Good move to move them to the A and get some conditioning, confidence and coaching- 3 things that often seem lacking here.
And, Mike, you're right about the "paying dues" aspect- a carryover of MacT's anti-performance-based style of GM and coaching. Because if Chiasson is hot, better play Rattie because that is the plan right?
