I'm still pulling for Fedun. He's a long shot but he impressed me in that pre-season before he broke his leg so badly. The fact that he came back from that shows a lot of heart and determination. Haven't really had a chance to watch much of him so far this pre-season but stats so far look decent. 2 games 4 assists +3. For you guys who have seen him, how's he looking so far? I'm assuming he's OKC bound but might be a decent call-up when the injuries start.

I'd be so tempted to keep him if I were the Oilers.

With MacIntyre on the team, the club may opt to only carry 7 defensemen... but assuming they keep 8, these are my guys:

Smid / Petry
Ference / J.Schultz
N.Schultz / Larsen
Belov / Fedun

It could be argued that Fedun would benefit more from playing heavy minutes in OKC than in Edmonton, and there might be merit in that. At the same time, as a mid-twenties prospect, you'd like to move him into the NHL soon.

I'm putting Belov on my 3rd pair, I think he's got the tools.

Ference / J.Schultz
Smid / Petry
N.Schultz / Belov
Larsen

Fedun gets top pairing minutes in OKC.

I still don't understand the Grebs signing. Plus Potter.

- Belov is definitely a keeper. Had high hopes for him and right now he's exceeding my expectations. Steady in his own end and very creative in the other. That slap pass was a thing of beauty.

- Haven't looked at the stats line, but Nick Schultz seemed like a liability more times than not.

- Pitlick appears to be finding his game.

- Am liking a lot of what I see from both Acton and Joensuu.

- Dubie played well after that first period goal.
