I don’t know how Hedman doesn’t get a penalty for attacking Kane, but then Kane gets a penalty for reacting? Hedmans actions were way more violent than Kane’s response to it.
There needs to be a purge somewhere in the NHL officiating hierarchy up there. They are way behind this fine game of hockey. And I mean WAY behind.

The officiating problem is a grass roots issue. It’s starts at minor hockey and they way they have trouble finding officials. I could come out retirement at almost 50 and ref every night. Kids get sick of being dumped on by loser coaches and simpleton parents. I am embarrassed that grown ass adults flip out on young officials for making mistakes when their own kids playing the game are making errors on every shift.
Maybe we need to purge officials from overseas?

This is not an Oilers get screwed rant, but the league and their officials are absolutely brutal. They are dangerous and turning this game into something the the NHL says the want to get away from. The result of these non and missed called should be violence.

Did not see it coming that Skinner would be voted to the all star game. Figured Draisaitl would though. When was the last time the Oilers had 3 all stars? I know its the fan vote and the game means nothing, but still cool when its your guys.
