I opened my eyes this morning to the sound of the breeze.. the blinds softly knocking the glass and the cat meowing at the exposed screen… I closed my eyes thinking, I can get a few more minutes. But the cat. She kept meowing. It didn’t sound like her normal, every day regular meow. No. There was something different about her meow this morning. So I kept my eyes closed. Focused on the cat. Meow. Meow. Meow. I couldn’t quite make out the difference. I opened my eyes to look at the cat thinking maybe that will help. She’s staring at me. No. Not at me, at my soul. Her meow pace quickened. Though as we stared into each other’s souls the distinct difference in her meow was clearer than ever. Must. Must. Must. She enthusiastically continued. Must. Must. Must. I rise out of bed, in all my birthday suit glory and boom out ‘ITS MUST DAY BABAY!’ The cat prances over to me, puts a paw in the air, we fist bump and nod to each other. The bedroom door opens, I grab the throw pillow to cover my musty mast, the kids parade in one by one, each with a single fist in the air. I fist bump them, one by one. After which they nod in unison. I look to the door. The wife, standing there with hands on hips asks, ‘Do you know what day it is?’ My eyes open wide, I take in a deep breath before replying, ‘It’s Must day baby!’ I drop the throw pillow, the kids run out screaming ‘Aaaaah!’ while the wife shakes her head and walks out.
Interesting tidbit, June the fourth in Finnish is a literal translation to The Must Day*.
*okay maybe just take my word for it and don’t fact check.

We can do this, we can win this tonight and put some pressure on the Avs so we can even the series up in the next game. Imagine it could go down to one game stolen on the road and one we go.
