Game is ESPN+/Hulu exclusive in the states. Cassie needs to take lessons from AJ Mleczko, she's far better.

I was wondering who the colour analyst was. Seems to know her stuff & doesn't resort to stupid cliched comments like some "analysts."

Another game like Detroit and Buffalo. Just no energy to start the game and down early.

Dallas goalie keeps pushing the net off to get whistles. Do the refs do anything? Hell no.

Man. This’ll get ugly if he misses much time. Left side will be what?

Russell
Broberg
Lagesson?

So bad it's almost funny. 3 guys who shouldn't be in the NHL.

Maybe the young guys can use this opportunity to prove to the team that Russell, Koekkoek and Keith can all be replaced?

This game is over if the refs keeps managing this game. Pretty one sided to the box, and the Oil getting zero done 5v5 so far.

McD just gets hooked twice but I guess Dallas can't get a penalty call at home.

Ouch , Barrie should have had the home jersey on there to more resemble a pylon.

Stars have been doing that to our guys in front of the net all game long, yet now all of a sudden they're going to start calling it? So frustrated with the NHL officiating the past few years. Just be consistent & call the rules in the book. It's not rocket science.

McDavid seems off tonight. Passes not connecting, mistiming his rushes...just not the 97 that we know & love. Stars not giving him any room to move at all.

Love the Oilers, but for decades I have hated this F'ing league. It is pathetic.

Nothing has changed since the Bruins and Flyers tried to hog tie the dynasty Oilers to win games with the refs looking the other way.

True. In those days though the team had players that could just go out and change the tone and energy of the game without necessarily changing the score. Play in kind given the officiating. This team doesn't appear to have that even by modern standards. So unless the guns are doing it for the Oilers, and they haven't made an appearance tonight (plus no traction due to the refs ensuring a lopsided game on teams)....and we see the snooze fest.

I'm amazed that this club just lacks energy for the first half of most hockey games. It's appalling and its what's going to help bite the team on its arse.

I don't disagree they started slow but I think they have actually played OK 5 V 5. The Stars have done really well limiting good scoring chances.
I don't think I have complained about the refs this year, given I don't very often, but they have been brutal tonight.

Through two periods live …
Reffing is awful in person too.
But our D have been awful. Keith was brutal, passing grenades. Bouchard’s passing is off. Barrie getting turnstiled. Really rough game from our guys. Despite the reffing we deserve to be down.

Brutal preparation for this game. Do the players care at all? Brutal officiating. They will lose to Arizona if they play like this tomorrow too.

So this is what hope feels like?

Oilers should be well rested for Phoenix. They must have their PJs under their unis, the refs made sure Leon got more rest in the box, and Dallas played a lullaby.

One of the more disappointing efforts so far this year, for sure. Just a killer letdown after 2 pretty good efforts at home.
