Must win. Crush these fLamers

Sounds like the blender is being brought out after Thursday’s poor showing.

McDraimamoto and McHopjarvi are the top two lines by the sounds of things...

RNH-McLeod-Puljujarvi
Kahun-Haas-Archibald
Neal-Shore-Chiasson

lol, what is happening with that 2nd line. McLeod is seriously gonna be the C?

McDavid was destroying the world without needing Drai, letting us try to find a strong stacked 2nd line. 1 hiccup with a tired team and we're back to the 1 line team deal.

Tipp re: McLeod, “ We're trying him there tonight... he's been solid & we want to work him around the lineup & see where he fits”

What this tells me is that Nuge isn’t a centre on this team. Which leads me to his contract status; you can’t pay him as a centre... you can’t pay him as a dual position guy. Even on PK, Khaira is his partner and Khaira takes draws. If his agent is pushing for additional money bc he is a dual position player capable of filling a top 6 c role as well as wing role, enjoy being a part of Buffalo or Detroit’s perennial rebuild.

Curious why they wouldn't just try McLeod as a winger with McDavid. McDavid wings just rotate endlessly as we find sparks of chemistry here and there, and any winger that has some smarts and speed gets rewarded and can gain confidence. Putting McLeod at C on the 2nd line...that's pretty much trial by fire. Hope he does well, but that's just a weird spot to toss a guy a handful of games into his career. And yeah, this seems kind of insulting to Nuge too if McLeod is seriously gonna be out there playing the C role with faceoffs and on the defensive side.

I think it might be if McLeod works as a center, he can draw better than RNH, or Haaaaaas, Shore .. which might find him on the PK sooner than later as well, in place of Leon having to take all the critical PK draws.

I'm sure he gets a couple rounds up at LW with McD as well .

Oilers need some answers before the playoffs, better to test drive McLeod now than in the playoffs when its win or go home. If you can't get anything going offensively in the playoffs (like last year), you don't want to turn on the blender at random, at least have some good ideas on what will work.

Let this sink in. Mark Giordano, 37, will play an NHL game in May for the first time tonight. What a sad and telling reflection of the #Flames struggles since going to the Stanley Cup final in 2004.

Well, he was an injury on a roster that played in May.

I just don't think Oilers fans should be throwing stones from their glass house.

I happily throw stones with pinpoint accuracy at the king of knees with my glass house staying completely intact.

Good for him though sitting out after the Lames were given a lay up 1st round series against a team that was perfecting the art of choking.

Throw them at his knees!

I can’t stand Giordano - latest winner of the Shane Doan Trophy for being exceptional performance at being a dirtbag cheapshot artist while being lauded as a great guy constantly by media. Happy to see him mocked in any way.

Somebody explain to me why, in a season without fans in the stands, Edmonton and Calgary play at 8pm. There are like 12 different sportsnet channels. Start the game at 6:30 Gary you jerk!

You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you can get a lottery pick.

Because on Saturdays it's the Leafs at 5 and somebody else at 8. Been that way for 30 years. Sportsnet/CBC demand it that way.

I think the Oil has a bad record so far with Boom-goes-the-dynamite calling games, and his attempts at creating his "signature" by singing the goal scorer's name is finger-nails-on-chalk-board cringe worthy.. I think I'll be synching up my PVR to Stauffer and Michaels.

Seems strange saying this, but it doesn’t feel like this is the 10th BoA of the season.
