I always wondered what it felt like to be on the happy side of bad goal on the first shot of the game.
Question has been answered, its glorious.

Bad break with Barrie tipping that in, but what the heck was Smith doing? He was basically in the corner by the time the puck went in to the net. If Barrie'd missed stopping that pass, it's likely still a goal because Smith can't stop a one-timer from way down in Kansas.

97 is flying again.

We were stuck on 1 shot for a long time, but it looked like Daccord made two consecutive saves on Yams in tight, but that was a visual test.

They came back and looked better as the period went on.

And a rare point for Patrick Russell - earning himself one more opportunity to try to get that first goal again next game!

The no-calls on McDavid are ridiculous.

Listening to Jack say McDavid can’t every call against him....why not?

You can’t call every offside? A penalty is a penalty. 97 is capable of 2+ ppg. Why the NHL doesn’t take advantage of this I’ll never know.

Jack is annoying me by saying stupid things tonight. Musing whether the Oilers just have Ottawa's number as they're up 5-2 while looking to win the 7th straight against them this season...

I’ve always found him annoying. Drove me nuts on the radio when him and Bob would have inane chatter during the play. On the radio you need to paint a picture most the time. He can get away with that on TV.

Another thing I find annoying is that when he’s not on TV during a national broadcast, Cam Moon gets bumped off the radio PBP so Jack can do the broadcast there. What a dumb arrangement that is. Cam Moon is worlds better than Jack btw.

Say what you will about McDrai being together.

The Big Willy effect is on display these past few games. He’s turned me into a believer, he’s so steady and just does all the small things the right way. He’s not flashy, but we don’t need 6 flashy dmen.

I was cursing them for waiving Forsberg and not Lagesson, but man am I glad how that worked out and Willy isn’t playing elsewhere.
