Can also agree there. That said, there are thousands of good, well known, arena worthy songs that arent either pop crap OR the same dozen rock songs from the 30 years ago.

Further to all of thos, I’ve watched a few Flames games this season with how close we are and obviously I’m cheering for the other team, but if you think the music at Gougers is bad, the SaddleDome music is stuck in the 80s.

Every game I’m more impressed with Yams too. I was not a supporter. I was in favour of moving him. Man has he made me a believer. Jones too, he and MattyB can be a solid 3rd pair who have it all between the two of them (not elite, but both puck movers who can put up points and shut things down).

I haven't been to a game in the new barn but have noticed it sounds louder on TV than it does in road games. Thought maybe it was just how it came through the TV.
My season tickets in Winnipeg are 4th row of the upper deck, right behind the net. I assume it is speaker positioning and acoustics but you can barely hear what they are playing. The couple times my wife has joined me at games she was not impressed. Old man me quite enjoys it.

It's SO loud in the new rink. A couple of years ago I took my mostly deaf 87-year-old (at the time) Grandfather to a game. Even he commented on how loud the music was.
I don't know why they think volume is a substitute for quality. There's no need for it to injure your ears. Save the noise for when the Oilers score. Play the music at a reasonable level! I've never heard anyone who thinks that it needs to be louder there.

This drives me nuts too. It might just be that I'm getting old, but it sure seems like they might be using noise to distract from the on ice product occasionally.

If I ever run out of beans at home, I grab McDonalds coffee. But for ‘coffee shop’ coffee I’m a big second cup fan. Not to say that I don’t drink Tims though, I mean there’s one literally under 100 steps from my office.
