This is a game you have to win. Let’s get going, take it in regulation.

It's a must win. If the team wants to continue with the fiction that there's playoff potential this year, they cannot lose points to the only team that's clearly fallen off the bottom of the Western Conference.

This is fine.

If this was a overtime win it wouldn’t be the worst thing. Just need a win. I don’t think a tie will help the Kings and their playoff drive this year.

Currently 1-2-1 against the weakest division in hockey and have given up points in every game against divisional foes. They not only need to win this, but they shouldn’t need OT to do it either.

Shouldn’t.

They shouldn’t have went to OT against Anaheim either. They set Calgary on a pretty good little burner, hopefully they don’t allow LA to do the same.

Yep.
The oilers have been slumpbusters for individuals for a decade. I hope that hasn't morphed into a team type version.
Calgary won 4 of 5 starting with the game against the Oilers, only loss to Las Vegas
Vegas won 4 of 5 starting with beating the Oilers, only losing to the Flames.

Both teams were struggling going into the Edm game.

Here is hoping tonights game doesnt start a run for the Kings.

Can't help but think the same way, it would be so Oilers to help boost LA into a run for the playoffs. Hopefully the Hitch factor is changing that pattern. LA has the worst record in the entire NHL right now.

Are you implying there are result that would be unacceptable to fans of the Oilers?

Yes, for sure. Fans are gonna be really really mad if they lose. Many angry twitter posts and calls in to 630 and 1260 will be heard by all.

Maybe the rest Talbot he received will help him...? Maybe!?

Maybe the calmness of Gravel and the addition of Wideman will help him? Maybe?!

That’s what Hitch said in his chat after practice yesterday. You’re not alone in that feeling.

Kings are starting Calvin Petersen... 2-3 with a 2.81 GAA and .917 save percentage

For comparison, Talbot enters with 3.31 GAA and a .888 save percentage.

Hope the offense is up to the challenge tonight...................
