Minny got whipped by the Canucks some how. They played Dubnyk last night so they will get the back up. Oilers are rested. They need to take advantage.

I hope to see more of what I've seen most of October; an engaged team running some systems.

I'd like to see Strome have a breakout game, but I don't think I will.

I just want 3 scoring lines, that's all with centers contributing from each line.

The very definition of insanity is doing the exact same thing expecting different results.

Generally Disappointed.

So.. I'm listening to Rischaug on 1260 trying to explain to Nielsen how Rattie might not necessarily get his job on the No.1 line when he's ready to play again.. thinks Yamo has been doing well in the spot and making the 1st line work, and earned his spot...

Yamo has like 1 assist playing big minutes with the best player in the league, hasn't done much IMHO. Rattie works well with that line, and has done it consistently, has a snipe, and can keep/get possession of the puck. Yamo's biggest contribution so far is he's got the physical mass of a ping-pong ball and gets knocked down easily, creating some PP's.

Oh by the way, apparently McD only has one (1) 5 on 5 pt. since Rattie was hurt.

Sometimes I really wonder about that boy (Rischaug)...

PulJu needs to go down to Baker... now.. he needs ice time... needs to get better, because he's got big holes in his game, won't do it in Oiler practice and 9 minutes a game.

Sounds like Puljujarvi is out again - four straight now - with McLellan talking about doing the "best thing for the team" with the lineup he's putting out there. Bouchard also sits, this being his third seat in a row. McLellan says something to the extent that the clock is ticking on them with Bouchard, and there's some issues with his play too.

You have to hope he's talking to them at some length about these scratches, and not just making these remarks to the media.

On the plus side, Stalock in net for the Wild tonight and they're coming off a game last night in Vancouver and travel afterwards. If you were circling games that should be wins, this would be one of them...

I often wonder who Rishaug knew to get his job. Is it simply because they thought he was pretty? He's not exactly cutting edge with his hockey analysis. I think anyone from this site could do as well there. #himbo

The kid is getting an A for effort...
But he’s just so small, and gets knocked off the puck a lot...

Granted he works his tail off to try and retake the biskit,
And sometimes it works...
He’s just so small..:

Rattie needs another shot based on 7 preseason goals...

When I would watch Yamo in Junior, I was confident he was one of them small players that can still have an offensive impact in the NHL. Now I wonder if he will notch 100 games. It’s a tough task at that size.

I can’t help but wonder if there is a huge disconnect between the GM and the coach on where Pujujarvi belongs. I believe he could belong in the NHL, but he won’t figure it out with 9 minutes a night. Coach is 99% win and 1% development. The GM, I have no clue..
