I know I’ve been critical of him this year... a lot of us have, but great to see Talbot get to 30 wins on the year.

Oh and McPoints rock

2016: We need to get heavier, and we need a defenseman!

2018: We need to get faster, and we need a defenseman!

For all the great season Vegas have had, we seem to be the kryptonite in it all. If only we could have played them every game...

5th and 6th are out of reach now. A loss on Saturday and we get 7th, a win and we could fall as far as 10th.

It's funny how Khaira is 10 times better than Lucic at holding pucks on the boards and with defenders on him while he's carrying in the offensive zone.

Anyways, yay McPoints!

The heavy team argument concerning the Oilers really only exists because of how awful Lucic has played this season in light of his elephant sized contract. Nothing wrong with heavy players if they can also skate, handle the puck, make reasonably smart plays and not consistently turn the puck over. Drai, Khaira and Kassian are decent big players. Nice to see the Oilers get that win in spite of being screwed over by a ref again.

Think the "speed" issue on this team actually has more to do with the D than forwards (ignoring Lucic). Add a couple good puck movers on the back end, and a lot of this lineup would start looking a lot quicker through the neutral zone (ignoring Lucic). Might need better coaching too though as a caveat.

Maybe we only need 1 more if Sek and Klef come back next year 100%. We basically went this whole year with 0 good healthy D that can quickly and consistently move a puck up the ice to teammates. Forwards are usually starting from a standstill just inside our blue line, usually on the boards, or chasing a dump.

There is something to this. I'd like to add that the Oilers D are offensively anemic, change my mind.

McDavid now leads in points per game too.

He won't win the Hart but he should. He is the most valuable.

How could one doubt the braintrust of 6 Cups Kevin Lowe, MacT's E-MBA from Queens, Paul Coffey's skills coach resume, and drunk Gretzky?
