Can tonight be the Connor McDavid version of the Sam Gagner night against the Blackhawks back in 2012, please? Except 8 goals instead of 4-4. Is that too much to ask the Hockey Gods?

How about 8 goals + 3 assists just to piss off the Leaf fans too?

Beating the Flames needs to happen. No Tkachuk or Brodie. Smith won the game for the last time we met, but he’s fallen off the map since. Be nice to see a crushing win over Calgary.

No Monohan also. Think Johnny Hockey is back... Spencer Foo makin’ his debut tonight. Need to punish these clowns.

Gene feels like he won the lottery when stuff like this happens.

It’s almost, almost, too bad that we’ll likely get the fLames broadcast team tonight.

No Nuge tonight?? LBI. Shame. Draisaitl slots in on the top line with McDavid and Rattie.

Really? That came out of the blue. If there is one thing about Nuge I dislike, it's he's a bit fragile.

Guess he’s questionable. Leon skated with The McDavid and Rattie.

Interesting to see how Strome would handle second C duties tonight, with Lucic and Puljujarvi should Nuge miss and Draisaitl slot up.

Looking at the fLames skate, they are missing some key players too. Hamonic and Brodie on the backend and no Monahan or Tkachuk up front.

Hoping for McPoints galore tonight in the form of goals preferably. Catch and surpass Ovi, please. Make those fool writers and broadcasters select you for the Hart.

Stauffer tweeted out that Nuge has accepted an offer from Team Canada for Worlds, so cant be anything too serious if he doesn’t suit up tonight.

Doctors have assured him that he can't damage it any further by playing in the worlds.

But he will get surgery right after the tournament is over?

Odd, the Oilers' doctor said the same thing about him playing in Oklahoma City for the Barons (great team name).

And for the oilers all year until he only had one little thread left keeping his shoulder together. Then they decided to shut him down, some time later when the season was for sure over.

This was that one special year turning the 10 years of failure where it wasn't possible for us to be done by Halloween.

My post was made in humour.

It was his second season in the league no? And iirc it wasn’t till April that he was shut down. Then that September he signed his his 6mil deal, right?

He hurt his shoulder, waited all summer, played half a season in OKC, played 30 games with the Oilers before getting shut down, rushed back and played injured the next year. God this team is stupid. STUPID. So very stupid. Fortunately everyone that was around for that era of selling hope (although it was after the "HOPE" era faded) is still with the team.

He played 40 that shortened season. He was shut down with 5 games left in the year after our game April 19th. I remember when he got fully wrecked, it was a game on April 4th when one of the Sedin's jumped on his back while he was on his hands and knees. And he just rolled over in pain because of the strain it put on his shoulder. He was just destroyed and could barely do anything after that game, but we played him 6 more games after that and finally shut him down when the season was looking to be finally lost.

Well I’m at the game. My wife surprised me with tickets for this game so 3 friends and I drove 10 hours last night to get here. I don’t see a lot of games so I think the Oilers owe me a good game for my 40th birthday and 32nd year of being an Oilers fan
