Looking like we'll be picking 7-10 right now (barring lottery wins outside the top 6), and I would much prefer picking at 7 than 10. So I would be fine with a 7-6 loss tonight, with 6 McPoints.

For what seems like the first time in 2 months and possibly the last time this season, the Oilers are live on TV over here... I'm not sure if this is good or bad.

At this point in the season, all I ask if for the players to show respect to the jersey, respect to the fans and put in a performance. Win or lose, just don't capitulate and make it a horror show.

Hopefully the Oilers put forth a better effort tonight. Hopefully McDavid can get a few more points to increase his lead. I really hope the Oilers can catch the Flames as the Calgary radio stations would explode if that happened. icon_lol The season is lost, no playoffs to look forward. I need something to hope for to finish off the year.

I've got a 40 of CR on the Oilers/Flames season. All is not lost, but I don't know if I want to see the Oilers win out.

I want the Oilers being an at least .500 team by season's end and McDavid winning the Art Ross. Just positives going into next season.

And then winning the draft lottery with like a 3.0% chance!

Thanks to the Oil, finishing .500 guarantees that they can't win the lottery, which is fine with me.

I had no idea such a rule existed. If you're over .500 you're not included in the draft lottery?

That's not how it works. Any team who isn't in playoffs gets a shot at the top 3 picks. All it would do is likely lower our odds at getting a top 3 pick.

How could one doubt the braintrust of 6 Cups Kevin Lowe, MacT's E-MBA from Queens, Paul Coffey's skills coach resume, and drunk Gretzky?

EDIT: just checked the 2018 NHL draft site. My bad. It would be hilarious if the Oil were to luck into Dahlin...

High picks other than McDavid get wasted by this team anyway. Working together and winning is much more important (and McPoints of course.)

Not sure if it's just me, but since the Dys moved Kesler, Bieksa, Burrows, and all the other punks from their team I find I no longer despise them as much as I used to.

I still don't like them, but all the hate that I used to have for them has now moved to the Ducks. No coincidence that several of the aforementioned players now play for the Ducks.
