It’s the same song and dance, outchancing the other team and still can’t score first.

I wont suck it either way but I will keep hating until his egregious defensive errors are outweighed by his positive plays.

Isn't he pretty consistently over 50% when it comes to GF%?

Wouldnt surprise me. As with most stats it's rare that one can tell a tale, especially with d-men. As an example I am pretty sure last time GF% came up Auvitu was the best and Larsson was the worst.

I dont look into the "fancy stats" much in small sample sizes, IE during the season, but using the "eye test" he has been better the last little while. If you dont count the last two games, where the whole team was bad, that is.

Since the famous starfishing episode he has actually gotten better for the most part. His angles have been better leading to slowing down zone entries. If the other team does have position down low he has gotten better at finding his man as apposed to just spinning around, then lying down in front of Talbot.

As promised, I am trying my best to judge him only on his play and not in relation to his contract.

Oh God, a late PP in the 2nd for the Oilers to give the Ducks momentum for the rest of the game.

That's a game management penalty if I ever did see one. McDavid gets 15 slashes a night worse than that.

It's always fun when you can go full circle in a game. Refs look right at Kesler taking two 2-handed chops right on Drai's hands in OT and ignore them. They later give a make up PP to us with 20 seconds left in OT.

Sigh.

Cammelleri on the left side. Pulju on the right side.

God we hate 1-timers so much on the PP. The only guy allowed to take a 1-timer is Letestu and he can't get open for a pass to take one to save his life anymore.

If he doesn't let in long range backbreakers I'll be satisfied.

Regardless of the outcome of this game, the special teams coaches need to be fired. Like tonight. The whole coaching and management team ideally, but at the very least, change things up on special teams.

Oilers need more drop passes when there are chances to shoot, confuse the other team by potentially throwing it into your own zone.

PP is 0% now (0/1) without Letestu on the 1st unit. Woodcroft is vindicated
