Funny, from a game i'd normally have just semi interest in, this has been a must go to the last few years because of the Manning/McJesus history. Hopefully it's entertaining and an Oil win!

It seems like Manning has come down with a case of the Lucic Flu...

Interested to see the defensive pairings today.

Davidson in? My boy Auvitu out? Gryba going from first pairing to healthy scratch? Everyone in? Everyone out? Shake it all about?

Was just watching the pre-game stuff. Lots of talk about Pulju and his confidence from McDavid and Lucic. Lucic even talking about how Pulju was getting frustrated watching Laine and Matthews last year, and the opportunity they were getting.

Funny how you see Pulju and that huge smile and you just assume he's like Yak, just this happy go lucky kid. Seems there is actually a sad clown behind that smile. Think it gives some perspective to his struggles so far. I hope he is starting to realise he can't fixate on stuff out of his control and he is starting to just focus on his own game and to take advantage of the opportunity he is given.

The same lineup as against Calgary according to the Oilers site. I was intrigued to see Davidson back tonight, but we will have to wait another game!

Lucic - McDavid - Puljujarvi
Maroon - Nugent-Hopkins - Cammalleri
Caggiula - Draisaitl - Strome
Khaira - Letestu - Kassian

Nurse - Russell
Klefbom - Benning
Auvitu - Gryba

I was hoping to see Davidson in for Auvitu. I see that 3rd pairing as a potential nightmare defensively so I thought defensively, we might see a change. Gryba was actually decent against Calgary and you don't want Davidson starting his first game back with the team on the wrong side. I guess the thinking would be you don't break up a winning line up, which I am not necessary against but I see Auvitu as a #7 at best and with the unknown with how LB will look, I would think you want as much defense on the back end as you can get.

They haven't. Yes, they've scored a few goal lately and that's a good thing, but the goals against have been gross. With that being said, they're only 6 points out of the third spot in the pacific. That, to me, is more doable that the second wildcard. It may come down to a race against... vegas.

Peter Chiarelli, General Disappointment.
