So, uh, we know why Chia picked up that Desharnais fellow, eh?

Chia's probably lighting up a big stogie and sitting back with a smug look on his face looking at MacT and Lowe and saying, "Now that's how you make good player moves. Pour me more brandy now, peons.".

Chiarelli goes from "we traded for who?!?" to "best trade ever!!!" in one shot. WOW!

I'm spending the rest of the night trying to remember how to spell Desharnais.

David Dangernais!!!! It's shocking how far this team has come in two seasons and there are just no weak links. Told my kid he could watch 10 mins of overtime...what kind of father would stand behind that!

Haha, I said my son could watch to the end of the game....meaning the end of the 3rd. Then I said maybe just a little longer. Midnight they score & we both erupt in joy!!!

Beautiful night!

Absolutely dominant. The Oilers were un-freaking-beatable in OT. Unbelievable.

Seriously, you should stamp a huge Oil logo on this, print out a huge copy, and mail it to the NHL Officiating office as a big middle finger!

Shots on goal in OT were 13-2 for the Oilers. Plus they scored.

Yup, I was scared sh--less of a breakdown and SJ scoring on one of one or two chances in OT. The boys went after it, and why the hell not?

It was going one of two ways. Dominance resulting in inevitability or a two bounce knuckle puck skipping by our guy. Justice was served.

It's quite possible that the Sharks shot their wad hard in Game 4 and had little enough left for a long game tonight. If the Oil can play them in a similar fashion on Saturday, book your tickets to Anaheim, fellows, series over.

That right there made the deal to get Desharnais worthwhile. HUGE goal, HUGE comeback by the Oilers. I was contemplating channel surfing when it was 3-1....glad I didn't.

This series is now possible. Just do it in their barn, boys.

Yup, excellent feed to Klefbom as well. Love the playoffs, eh? It's when guys emerge when you don't expect it, and do things that help define their legacy as hockey players. Who woulda thought that guys like Kassian and Desharnais would be so instrumental? Very important when the opposition keys on McDavid's line for lesser lights to step up, and it happened tonight in spades.

That's so awesome that DD got the winner.

Oh my god did we dominate that OT. SJ looked like they had nothing left in the tank. Jones was insane.

11 years we've asked for meaningful hockey in April, tonight reminded how stressful it can be. I wouldn't change it for the world for the way I'm feeling now. Not the right time to be opening a bottle of anything other than water, but I may have to get something stronger than water for mornings like this in the coming weeks.

So proud of how this team came back in this game to dominate. We bemoaned during the first how we lost the grip of the game, but boy did we wrench it back and more. Add that to what happened on Tuesday, that's as impressive performance by the Oilers that I've seen in the past god knows how many years. That overtime period was just crazy, what did we put in the water in the dressing room, they came out on fire and with so much energy in the legs!!

Chia said he specifically picked him up because he ripped up the Bruins every time in the Playoffs ( I think 17 points in 19 playoff games against the B's).

Dude, I'm on a 4K monitor and this is screwing up my page, find a smaller version icon_lol

I mean the Sharks had nothing the second half of the game - can our young legs run them out of their building. It's hard to rebound from a heartbreaker like that, harder when your locker room has as much Just for Men as it does Gatorade.

Guys! Guys. Guys! David Desjardins got the game tying assist and the game winning goal. David Desjardins.

Hush you. I figured out I got it wrong. David Desharnais.

Can't blame you. They all look the same.

Well, it's not like I thought I'd have to remember his name. He was going to be a game 4 scratch and a forgotten UFA this summer. David Desharnais.

David slayed Goliath! That was awesome hockey!

I got NHL gamcenter to watch my Oilers on vacation in Cancun. Totally worth it! Scared the living bejesus out of my wife who was sleeping. I'm sure the 20 mojitos I had in the last 4 hours had a small part in it.

Can't wait for Saturday.

GO OILERS!
