Any bets on who shows up for tonight's game? Enough is enough.

Show up and be consistent.

Should win. Must win. Gotta win. Blow up Rogers Place if they don't win :)

Yeah, I rate this one 7.5 must wins out of 10: it's a 'better damn well win' game.

No Roussel for the Stars which is a bonus, and that blueline is weak, especially with losing Benn to Montreal (those minutes have to get eaten by someone else now).

There's no such thing as an easy win, and playing against Seguin and Benn poses challenges. Perhaps they take this as a similar matchup to a team like Anaheim in regards to big guys down the middle and want to prove their gusto.

Either way, if we don't put at least 4 on the board tonight, I will be upset.

It's sad, however my confidence in Nuge, Eberle, Lucic and Pouliot getting any points in this game is at an all time low...

McDavid, Maroon, Letestu, Kassian, Klef and Sekera all on the scoresheet in some fashion tonight, either goals or assists.

Nuge and Ebs continue to skate around, getting nothing done.

Absolute must win. There is no other way to look at it. I hope the shoot out win that puts the team to the south ahead by 3 points was the wake up that it's time to turn up the intensity and play with a little desperation in their game. A win tonight doesn't put you back into 3rd, it puts you still behind by 1 pt. I heard comments from Drai he needs to pick up his game. He's hard on himself and sounded down. Time to get over sulking around and feeling sorry about yourself for not scoring in 10 games and go out and have a good game. I thought McDavid was fighting it vs the Habs. The Oilers need to see the Pens game McDavid. The entire second line - as Gregor calls them the Steve Austin line - needs to continue their better play but now need to start showing up on the score sheet. I thought Klefbom and Russell weren't very good vs the Habs, they need to bounce back. Big, big game.

That would be one long run-on sentence. So here's a story!

Feeling an obligation to their fans and franchise the Oilers embarked on an imperative journey that ought take them to the shores of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. "Which wing, coach" asked the suddenly not so young Jordan Eberle." Coach muttered, "right" and moved on to more pressing tasks. It was a job devoir and duty that he lead the Oilers to the playoffs, but how? "Coach? Are prerequisite and requisite the same thing?" Eberle asked. Coach though he might have a condition, but couldn't help admire his commitment to the future. "Ask MacT, he's not doing anything and has that damn MBNA everyone seem so proud of." One wonders what he was charged for that job requirement. A precondition of playoffs was wins, more wins than the opponent, that much everyone was sure of. The problem was not one on Kingsway could remember how to do that. Dallas Eakins called coach's personal cell, "How did you get this number?" "A friend," Dallas said, "well, he's not really a friend in the traditional sense, more like, 'his friendship is necessary' if you're going to survive in Edmonton." Of course he was talking about the fundamental issues that have plagued the Oilers, but which issue? Katz or Lowe? At times it was hard to tell them apart, like when pets and masters started to look similar. But, who was the pet? Coach needed to know. Dallas continued, "I have a motto for your playoff drive: 'sine qua non'". "Thanks Dallas" coach sighed and hung up. It made sense, but it made 'Dallas Eakins sense' and no one needed more of that. Committal of the Oilers to the playoffs. Was it possible? The only way to know for sure was to win. "Must win" coach sighed as he finished his lineup for the night by writing David Desharnais.

Hemsky's back playing. Only been in 6 games this year.

Still some high octane scoring power on the Stars, but their goaltending has been pretty miserable all year. Kari Lehtonen is the better of the two and his save percentage is .902.

Oilers have had a couple hot goalies the last couple of games...this is a team that that's rarely an issue for.

And suddenly Crosby and Marchand are right on McDavid's heels in the Art Ross race, so it's time now to feast...

Four point night for McDavid, 6-3 win for the Oilers. (I hope).

This one has all the makings for a get of the rut, slump buster. As I have posted before I dont think the team has been terrible in this stretch they just aren't finding ways to win.
With the Stars having some firepower but a weakened d line and bad goaltending it would be nice to see McDavid rack up some points and the secondary scoring fly around a bit.

I think this game might be seen as a turning point where a big win gets us back in the race and jumpstarts the team to the playoffs
The flipside is a loss could be crushing. Both in the literal points lost sense but also in a confidence sense. Losing to good teams in close games like the Pens and Habs are on thing but losing this one would be a kick in the groin.

So with that in mind, I am on the must win train for this one

"My wife told me Edmonton was going to win the pick that day," said Gretzky. "That was the day that I retired 16 years ago. So, she said, for whatever reason, the Oilers have good luck today. Connor McDavid went to Edmonton."

The Oilers are 7 points up on L.A. with the same number of games played.

L.A. plays Arizona tonight which they will most likely win.

There is no room for a loss especially since the Oilers play L.A. 3 more times. They need to stay 7 points up after tonight.

This is the closest the Oilers have made it to the Playoffs in a long time so we can say that with every each and passing game is the most important Oiler game of the last 10 years. But sitting back and looking at the situation I really believe tonight is the biggest game since Game 7 of 2006.

I am expecting a big night for McDavid as well. Dallas has suspect goaltending. Their PK is dead last. Their defense is terrible plus after a subpar game, McDavid is usually good. I didn't think McDavid was McDavid vs the Habs. He seemed to fight the puck for whatever reason.

The Oilers need to just stay out of the box.

I rate this as a must win, 12/10. They're all big games, Brent.

...some line tweaking from the Oilers, according to Gregor...(he's got it wrong before)

https://oilersnation.com/2017/03/14/gdb-69-0-dallas-a-team-t he-oilers-should-beat/

...Neimi in the nets for Dallas....not so sure Pouliot will be good to go for the Oilers...

....pretty obvious the Oilers can't waste this opportunity, but they so often give the fringe NHL'ers the chance to look like All-Stars....here's hoping some obscure Dallas plugger doesn't grab the headlines....but it's okay if Hemsky picks up a point....

I am a little surprised that Hendricks is playing as much as he is. I like what Hendricks brings, it's just the boots aren't there anymore to keep up. I wouldn't mind seeing a Khaira - Letestu - Slep line and see what it can do. When on his game, I think Kharia is a slightly bigger, much faster Hendricks. He just needs to bring it every night.

Found some tickets to this one. If anyone else is looking at going, there's some great prices on Ticketmaster Fan Exchange. I got mine in the upper bowl for $45 / ticket (service charges included).
