Unfortunately, he's been the most interesting thing about this game so far....

The Oilers are looking disinterested so far. If they skate hard and put on the pressure, teams have a hard time keeping up...

So what's the strategy? Well... let's just be super passive.

Kassian and McDavid are the only two looking inspired.

Nice effort in that first period........... Talbot? I think he's literally the only player that looked totally committed in the first.

Kassian and McDavid, good.

Everyone else... total no show. Nuge looks like he forgot how to play hockey.

Refs obviously bored too if they're going to start calling things like that "slash"

Need to step it up. They can't play like that, not at this point in the season.

Great way to get bounced out of the playoff spot.

Brutal period. What happened to their confidence all of the sudden. They look tentative with the puck (except McDavid of course). Come on guys time for some giddy up for the love of god!!!

If you can't bring your A game when you just got passed by your provincial rival in the standings, you have no character. Chia should be taking notes.

Lucky to have that chance... the Oilers should have been scored on seconds before by Patch.

Montreal is outplaying them badly... so lucky to be up one.

Great effort by Loo on that goal!!

Great setup up by Ebs- giving the puck away in the corner behind Price to avoid the hit, then coasting back to the Oil zone, then skating around in circles until Montreal's defencemen burned themselves out laughing.

And great SOLO effort by Loo. It's like he has two parachutes for linemates.

Yep. Nothing like a little totally uninspiring hockey from Ebs and Nuge. Those two will be out of Edmonton in the offseason.

Maybe, just maybe, they're saving themselves for the playoffs where they will each go on Pisani-style streaks to help the team reach the SCF series.... icon_rolleyes

Ha ha ha...

I don't think so, however I would love to be proven wrong. It's so disappointing that the Oilers have a competitive team and these two have totally no-showed this season.

Draisaitl has been treading the line between meh and yikes lately as well...

Not sure if he's running out of gas, or what his deal is... however not so amazing the last month or so.

They've had a better period, but they aren't playing like a team that needs to win.

Good third so far.

Anyone else wishing we had Montoya instead of Price? He's made some stunning saves.

Edit: and then we devolve into swarm defence and surprise surprise, we get scored on.

The Edmonton Oilers. One goal lead? Good enough.

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised to see us out of the playoffs.
