The annoying thing is that the Oil have actually come out with a better effort tonight. It's just that the Pens have managed to put away their chances, though in the case of the 2nd goal it was more of a matter of luck that Connor banked the puck in off Talbot's pads. Hopefully, the team can get at least one back soon...

This period for Edmonton can be summed up in one word: Unlucky.

Building has the atmosphere of a community medical strip mall on a Wednesday morning.

No kidding. Get loud Rogers! How often are you going to see McDavid and Crosby in that building?

If I took a drink every time SN guys said "Schultz" I'd be blacked out by now before the start of the second. Which based on the score and shot count might be the sensible option.

That's because MacT hasn't been allowed near a mic yet.

Karma would be Jultz on the ice and MacT in the pressbox.

Oil looking good in the 2nd.

Pouliot and Lucic showing some nice hustle so far. Gotta keep the mistakes down as the Pens are a team that'll make us pay.

Poo is really headlining the list of players who shouldn't be in an Oil uniform next season.

I actually thought Pouliot was having a decent game so far. Some games he has looked disinterested but tonight he has some decent jump in his step.
Your statement is still true but not based on this 40 minutes

I'm willing to grant that he's got a bit of an excuse due to coming off an injury lay-off, but he's been pretty much mediocre at best all year. He may be energetic, but that's only to be expected when he's been off skates for so long...

I don't blame Woodcroft for being unhappy with Drai, the guy needs to shoot more and pass less. Stupid cross-ice pass through THREE PLAYERS?! What the hell, Leon!??

Drai has been playing like he's drunk for a couple weeks now.

Sucks that fluke goal is the difference still.

Drai's passing has been a weak point all season. His biggest problem is that he telegraphs almost every pass he attempts, which makes it simple for an opposing player to step up for the interception. If he can just make decisions faster, he could be so much better at distribution. Maybe Connor can spend some time to help him in this area.

I think his decision making has been that of a drunk man lately. Soooo slowwwww. Guy can't make up his mind and even when he does takes him forever to execute.

Yeah, that pass attempt to Poo from behind the net earlier was a good example of that. Could he have been any more obvious about what he intended to do? This is the one thing keeping him from being the anchor of his own line right now.

As soon as 97 scores the camera slowly zooms in on Crosby on the bench.

Felt douchey. Lame.

The way the Oil have played this last half of the game, I will find it disappointing if they only come away with the loser point.
