Pretty cheap too, at 1 year 1 million.
Might have been an ok pick up for the Oilers at that price, but I'm ok with them going with who they've got for the 5-7 spots (Peckham, Potter, Sutton).

Yeah, Hannan would have been a great signing a few years ago, but he's never been blessed with a lot of foot speed and he's 33 now. He's on the downslope of his career. -10 last year in Calgary, and the Flames didn't seem anxious to re-sign him...I don't think he'd have provided much of a bump over what we already have.

Wasn't his contract last year as well in the $1Million range, so basically you are getting what you pay for. We also have enough 5-7 guys like said above.

Isn't this his 4th team in 3 years? Might be a sign.

It means alot of different GMs see value in him and they should. He is a good soldier and a solid vet. Id take him at his dollar figure anytime.

The funny thing is that this is the kind of signing that Detroit used to be able to do for the past decade. Take a veteran on the cusp of retirement and squeeze out one or two more good years.
Good value signing for Nashville with little risk if Hannan doesn't perform well enough.
Jordan Eberle on his goal scoring: "A lot of guys joke that I have a muffin. Well, it's an accurate muffin, and that's all that counts."
