Good test tonight. Sabres have arguably been the Oilers east this year.

Sounding like Nuge and Kassian will be back. I assume Smith will get the start based on their rotation and Koskinen getting the last three.

No matter how ya break’er down tonight, she’s a MUST WIN!

That's quite a stretch. Buffalo is 4-9-5 in their last 18, Oilers have held steady.

Would be nice to win 2 in a row again.

Krueger continues to take the high road regarding MacT.

What do you bet there was money up on the board for beating us last night?

I really like Krueger, and wish him nothing but the best. Great person, I think a pretty good coach. When he got his first head coaching gig he was a bit ahead of his time IMO, at least as it relates to coaching philosophy; especially when you consider all the recent stuff about coaches' personalities, coaching styles and hockey culture at all levels and stages of the game, re: the abuse, the vulgarity, the alpha "toxic masculine" mentality. I respect Krueger's approach to the game, and his temperament as an individual apart from the game.

One of the biggest blunders Oiler management made was cutting Ralph Kruger loose in favor of Eakins. Really good at motivating players and getting the most out of them as per their skill level etc ( Swiss National team ) without resorting to name calling and kicking. I wish him well too..... but not tonight! Oilers will have their hands full.

Always have to remember though that mact and Eakins dug the holes necessary for us to draft the current #1 and #2 scores in the NHL.

100% correct. The Petrie trade was a move that helped the team to another sad season and McDavid being drafted by the Oilers as another example.
