Nurse and Russell both chasing the puck. Russel not finishing his check. Lots of blame on that one.

Butchering the Canadian anthem seems to be becoming a thing with Oilers road games.

Nice, guy taken with Oilers draft pick and ex-Oiler goals so far tonight.

Oh nvm, Perron didn't get the goal. He'll have to get one next.

More defensive hijinks as Nurse/Russell go dash 2. Good chances again Talbot so of course they're going to go in.

Woah, let's no overreact here. It's only 3/4 years of McDavid wasted. This management group should be allowed to get to at least 6/7 before we fire Chia and replace him with Howson.

I suppose you’re right. Chia would be the one to allow McDavid to be left unprotected in an expansion draft and likely still be able to keep his job.

This last month? I was thinking bad thoughts after 2 games into the season. You were much more optimistic than I was going into this year, my friend.

Also true, I believe he was facing the net with no apparent purpose when the shot was taken.

If they lose I hope the fire chia. Brodziak is too slow as is Lucic. I can understand how they consider nurse as part of core as his brain doesn’t work. Drai tries no look passes regularly with no success. Can’t stand watching this team anymore.

Shockingly, the analysis from Milbury in the intermission was really good in pointing out it was probably McDavid with the missed coverage on the first goal.

So this team is bad enough that Connor has to stretch his godlike abilities to playing D along with carrying the otherwise non-existent offense? This team will be the early death of him unless they smarten the @#$$ up.

I mean... he ain’t wrong. But McDavid gets a bit of a pass after missing last game with an illness, no? Likely still not 100% and why play if you’re not healthy, but when you are literally the team you feel an obligation.

I am watching the NBC feed as well as it was a good breakdown. They had a couple of clips of him not being in the right spot, just kind of floating around.

It doesnt absolve the D from blame but McDavid was not doing his job either on that goal.

To the sick comment, he doesnt look himself tonight, could have used another day of rest it seems. He doesnt look to have the jump and has bobbled the puck uncharacteristically a couple times.

Lucic getting the job done tonight. 2 hits so far. That's a 6 hit pace for a game. A nearly 500 hit per season rate.

This home is sloppy. It’s like two pro teams trying to play like peewees. Is peewee offensive now because that also means short.

That last 90 seconds or so almost ruined what was a pretty good period overall by the Oilers.

Another couple point blank saves by Talbot as well. I would say he has saved 6 or 7 grade A chances.
maybe his best game this season?
