An over ager. I know nothing about besides he was eligible last year. Hopefully he's a diamond in the rough.

Like Pavel Datsyuk! Wishful thinking. Just glad to see some decent sized defensemen be taken. Hopefully some can skate. The upside to him going this year vs last is he must be developing enough that he was drafted. When you see the number of older D men who were undrafted or didn't make it to the NHL til they were 25, thats all good. We have been lacking at finding players later in the draft. Hopefully with Chia that changes.

So this is what hope feels like?

...."The right-handed rearguard has evolved into a steady two-way defenseman with really good underlying numbers, suggesting he’s on the rise to become a stud in the SHL.
“I had a really good summer last year and felt really strong from the get-go. Right from the time we stepped on the ice I felt like I was a more powerful player with better stamina. That has really helped my confidence”, Berglund told Swedish website hockeysverige.se last week."....

....another candidate for Bakersfield in 2018-19?....

Another defenceman prospect signed.

It will be interesting to see what the team does here - can they lend him back to his SEL team? It's getting pretty crowded on that back-end. Someone is going to have to get moved at some point - we don't have enough room to properly develop all of them.
