Just heard on 1260.

In fairness to Hall, I've wanted to throw a waterbottle at Eakins all season.

From the Oilers twitter, Larsen has also been demoted.

Coach Eakins says Yakupov will play tonight, Joensuu is going back to Edmonton to nurse an injury. Larsen to OKC, Ryan Jones recalled.

At least the season will get a little more interesting thanks to an internet bravado side bet.

But only if he plays. Right now we've recalled Brandon Davidson, Ryan Hamilton, and Philip Larsen, and they've played one game between the three of them.

I still am unsure if there is method to this madness.

Any chance of Jonesy playing goal and one of Dubie/LaBarBs to the press box...?

Reports out of OKC is that he's been playing with fire and often their best player on a lot of nights. Hopefully he brings that to Edmonton and can inject some life into this squad. We'll see.

Dammit you beat me to it.

Back on topic, you gotta think Jonesy will never be more motivated than he is tonight.

You're right, and he'll probably have a good game, ... then settle back into the EZ-boy recliner rocker that is his comfort zone. What we need are players that don't have comfort zones.

I for one can't wait for ol' Cherry Pickin' Jones to come back, wave some sticks at some people, skate back all the way to his own blue line, and fly-by a few dudes on the forecheck.

Then I'll just regress, because I feel I've made myself perfectly redundant.

I did like how humble he was with Principe in Pittsburgh, looks like the ol'ego is down a few notches.

He played decent, but nothing out of what we have seen before.

He should cut his hair, hippie.

Four minutes of icetime with Mike Brown on the far wing and Will Acton at centre? Decent is all you can hope for.

Least they were able to cycle th puck a bit. Think Jones gave that line a different dimension. I have no idea what they are going to do with Smack when he is off the IR. I suspect waive and then to OKC. I hope they keep Jones up.

Good news...if the Oilers waive MacIntyre, he goes back to the Pens! Unless they can somehow forfeit their claim...

I think this is right. If the Oilers waive MacIntyre, the Pens get first crack at claiming him, but they are not obligated to do so.

I believe that if we waive him, it's like we passed on him when they initially waived him. I know that in the past that's been the case going back a lot of years. When we claimed Len Esau from Calgary, he went back to the Flames when we waived him. Ditto for Jesse Boulerice when we claimed him from...ummm...Philly (?).

I think that even happened with MacIntyre once already...I think that's how he ended up back with Florida after the first time we had him on the team.

Those were all old CBA rules though, so maybe there's an option to decline and stick us with him in all his useless glory for eternity.
