I can't believe someone actually did the work for this. But, it's good data and pretty much what you'd expect.

Those who guessed Vasilevskiy are correct. Leads all goaltenders in retrievals leading to exits.
- Shesterkin leads in overall exits but some turnovers have hurt him.
- Mike Smith is in a class of his own.
- The Avs goaltenders generally do not play the puck.

Smith's puck handling can be a real asset. I think his problem is he doesn't seem to have the ability to choose his spots. Up 4-2 in the 3rd in an elimination game is probably not the best time to skate across the ice to play a puck when you have a dman more than able to get it.

Smith would go behind the net a lot to try and cut off the puck before it swung around. In the Calgary series that was pretty effective at times. I wonder if they are counting all of those times where he cut it off and then the Oilers defensemen couldn't get it out of the zone?

Looks like he is not including ones where there was no forecheck pressure. Just counting ones where the goalie had to quickly make a play with the puck.

Maybe our D play a part in the failures, but we also seem Smith doing ridiculous things too.
