I've been as hard on Campbell as anybody, but I can't put those last two goals on him. Just awful coverage and an unlucky rebound.

Listening to Jack Michaels late in that game, you almost expected them to give Campbell the first star....

I'm blown away by his record this year and with the Leafs. Is he some kind of genius that just knows the bare minimum he can do to still walk away with a win the majority of the time? 67-21-12 the last 3 years.

I'm struck by the fact he is another goalie who LOOKS like he's working hard all the time. Totally inefficient, bad rebound control, sprawls from side to side, does that scorpion dive forward multiple times a game (the one where he kicks his legs as he launches himself). His fundamentals are just bad.
Mike Smith was the same. Hell, Ty Conklin was the same. The Oilers love goalies that battle really hard, even if the only reason it looks like they're working so hard is because they are constantly out of position.
Whoever our scout is who deals with goaltending needs to go now. Also the GM. We have Campbell for 4 more years and we just have to pray that he scorpion kicks himself to a winning record in most of those years as the overpaid backup.
