Not 100% sure what Koskinen's position was for that wrister from the point where he got a push and his momentum carried him so far to his left. Screen I guess. confused2 At least the Oilers are scoring, they'll need 2 or 3 more.

Edit, saw the replay on that goal, have to have a stop there.

How many goals does Edmonton score on shots like that?

Bet Bouch will start scoring like that in time. How many guys on this team could actually hit the net with a shot ~1-2 feet off the ice from long range? Burns was always a king of those goals. The wrist shot floaters through traffic.

Not excusing Kostko though. His technique of trying to see through traffic where he slides around...ugly.

Judging by Nurse just icing the puck, yes.

I remember the MAB hat trick. He didn’t score the third goal.

This game has been like the start of the year. Some crazy saves, some muffins, and good run support.

I thought you could teach defense. Keep thinking these defensive minded coaches can teach something to Oilers players. Have yet to see any results. Same dopes running around getting owned by cross ice passes I've seen for the last decade+.

90% of defense is simply out working the other guy. Getting there first, winning battles , supporting your teammates. The rest is positioning. Coaches can teach positioning, blocking passing lanes, stick positioning but comes down to work in the end. Would also help if we didn't constantly let the other team hit our blue line with speed.

Shouldn’t there be a faceoff if that’s a good goal??

Nah I think the refs would just let them skate off rather then risk hijinx after the buzzer. Good call.
