Always liked Paul Maurice. Might actually make this team play to expectation and maybe be sustainable. Fire #JusttheTipp

Not sold on him. He stabilized the Jets but couldn't get them over that hump into the conference finals or the big dance.

The very definition of insanity is doing the exact same thing expecting different results.

Generally Disappointed.

Maurice coached the Jets to the conference finals in 2018...they lost to Vegas. He needs a break though, I'd honestly be shocked if he picked up another gig within two years. The guy was just a ragged wreck in the last few weeks here, looked like a zombie. Great man and a really good, not great, coach. Players love him, but he just couldn't get the big W.

But he (Belanger)'s as soft as room temp. margarine.

Hypothetical question: if John Cooper was fired last week, would Holland reach out or opt for another old buddy?

I just want somebody progressive in the role.

Maybe it's just a hockey fan thing, but I see the same complaints as we have had about coaches. Can't adjust, uncreative coaching. Mainly a guy that's about motivating his players. Probably does a better job of insulating his players from any heat and deflecting than Tippett or McLellan were. But overall, hire him if you are just looking for a new voice to provide motivation that has a shelf life of a few years. Not that much else there from what I've seen.

I'm thinking Chris Jones could be Coach/GM of the Elks and the Oilers.

You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you can get a lottery pick.
