Didn't know Seattle had 0 wins vs the Pacific so far. Guess it was meant to be.

Can't show up for one period and expect to win. They got away with it last time, not tonight.

And Holland might have to go full Billy Beane and trade Russell away so Tippett won't play him. Give him nothing but rookies to choose from.

Brutal effort in the first and second. I don't know why this team enjoys playing catch up so much... seems counterintuitive.

First and 3rd goals by Seattle shouldn't have happened and cost the game. 2nd was suspect in Larsson having room all the way down to the net.

Dumb errors, they don't happen as often, but they still cost hockey games. A couple really bad penalties as well to Yams and Foegele.

I thought Bouchard and Nuge were pretty deserving of stars in the game. Bouchard has some good poise out there most nights it seems.

It remains that the Oilers really should be beating teams like Seattle.

Worth noting, Sportsnet doesn’t actually follow who the actual stars are. I don’t understand why. There’s a zero percent chance that in Seattle, on the occasion of their first win, they pick Bouchard as the first star.

Edit to add:

Looked it up on the NHL app. Actual stars were:

1. Wennberg
2. Bouchard
3. Larsson

Goat of the game Kassian turnover., 2nd goat 37 penalty. had effort from 56, weak as a popcorn fart waste of ice time.
Skinner had to stop a couple of those, good NHL goalies do.
Puljujarvi has to finish some of those chances if he's going to play up with the top 6, too many grade A's go off net, or into the logo, he should be pounding 200 pucks every practice.. not that it helped 56

Frustrating loss.

Goat is Kassian? No one showed up.
Yes, he sucked. But there’s a lot of suck to pass around

They bit the trap game. Maybe this wakes them up. They’ve sucked for a freaking while now.
Start. On. Time.

In fairness to Hall, I've wanted to throw a waterbottle at Eakins all season.

Hey don't get me wrong, there were a lot of failures to go around, but that one lazy give away at the blue line by Kass was a turning point. I like the guy, but he just goes into dope mode sometimes, needs to but one of those smelling salts capsules on a string ,and tie it around his neck all game.

Only guys rolling were LD, McD, and Hyman.. as usual, but for once it wasn't enough for a W.

Kassian should play left wing, he incapable of picking up the puck off the boards when he's in his own end along the boards, and turned around facing his net.

If we had anyone better I'd make him sit.

Detroit. Buffalo. Seattle.

How do you lose to these teams in the way that they did and think you’re in a window to contend? You gotta work every day. No team rolls over for you. These slow starts and no emotion till the 3rd need to go the way of the dodo.

I’ve been a Kass guy for years now but holy man is my patience running thin on him. Send Boston a video of him in his last contract season, visually alter the jerseys to make it look like it’s this season and trade his candy anus for Debrusk.
