I didn't see anything wrong with 4K last game, or any game this year really, to merit taking him out.
Is this a last chance for Russell before bringing up Broberg or Samorukov? I mean maybe I saw them worse than they were, but every time Russell was on the ice was a tire fire.

I agree Kookoo looked generally OK. I think they are just trying to keep all the guys that are on the fringes of the starting roster engaged physically & mentally by not having them sit too long between games, maintain overall positive team morale, and assume the drop off in talent at the fringes isn't enough to lose a game. 🤞🏻

Tippett likes to keep guys in the lineup now and then to keep them up to game speed.
Well, he likes to do that for some players at least. Some others can just sit out forever, and then if they make 1 mistake after not playing for a month+ you never play them again until next year.
