Every player looks gassed out there... 3 games in 4 nights but a few days off coming up and there's no urgency out there. Bear has been the worst of the D by far. Kass still looks lost out there. Pretty much nothing going on, breaking down coverage handing easy goals to flames players that have been garbage lately

Nobody skating. Cassie says Smith want the 4-0 goal back - well, 2 Oilers watching the Flames scorer skate in, while they stood there like pylons, says to me that Smith ain't in the hot seat.

Lames were due I guess. Been playing like trash for a long time. I guess we kinda were too, but could just out-talent ottawa.

Better get it together quick, this game or the next.

An injection of Nuge Friday, then hall an Oleksiak after the weekend will help.

"another" non call on Larsson to end the period. Ref looks at 6: "nothing to see here."

To be fair, subtlety Larsson might be our dirtiest player. He gets away with a lot. Love him when he’s healthy. The refs are garbage, but I don’t believe they have a bias. They are terrible in every rink against every team. When did it start to get so bad?

You could feel it coming.

Tkachuk’s shoulder looked like was dislocated. Hate the player, but I don’t wish injuries on anyone, even if they are filthy.

Oil looked two steps behind every pass. Legs are moving, but disconnected from the play. Not one skater in white looks in sync. A day off, a few good practices and some home cooking is needed. This one is did and done. Hopefully they can get out without injury.

This team is so clearly not ready to contend.

Holland needs to pick up at least two legit forwards to bolster our squad. It's a simple formula for teams that are actual contenders... shut down Connor and Leon, and you win.

Simple plan to build around... hard to execute. But we see the good teams pull this off often.

You are likely right when you say they aren’t a Cup contender, but I wouldn’t put too much emphasis into this game.

Nuge and Hall. Two top 6 LWers not in the lineup tonight.

And Jamie Oleksiak at LHD.

Wish we could.. but won't be this season... cost would be double what its worth.. games like this indicate where the team might actually be.. spending assets for a chance this year might be like spending 2 x 2nds for AA last year.. regrettable.

A day they weren’t supposed to originally play, so a memorial for a teammate was planned then they’re told they’re also playing a game that day? I dunno. Pretty reasonable excuse for being absolutely beyond flat tonight.

Didn't know about the memorial.. with Vancouver being lost next week they could have moved this game to another day.. NHL being the NHL, Edmonton as a 2nd tier franchise to them, do you think this would happen with the Leafs?

I knew it was in April, but not today. That explains some of the Oilers being flat, Jaysus.... that's pretty poor. The NHL and their rights holders move the moon and stars for the frigging Leafs. Another 1st round exit would be tasty.
