There was a lot more urgency after the OIL goal. It would have been interesting if they had made it 4-2. icon_nod

...this time, it's for real (isn't it?).

Classic. That wasn’t a deflection. Just lousy goaltending again. I don’t know how this team is expected to get anything going when we can’t buy a save.

I mean they can score more than 1 goal on 79 shots so these crap goals aren’t AS deflating.

There is absolutely nothing in common in both their playing styles. Polar opposite.

Other than they both suck at stopping the puck most nights of course.

Does the other guy get the tap for the 3rd period?

I’m excited to find out.

Nah - Smith is another of Tippett's favourites. He's going to get the chance to battle out of this still.

Not that it matters now. It's hard to see the Oilers making a game of this now. I hope they do, but can't really count on that.

Annnnnd it's still Smith.

Yeah. Smith is clearly the starter. I have a conspiracy theory in my head that Koskinen is being traded and Stalock will be Smith’s backup in 2 weeks time.

They'd need another goalie coming back but it would be nice to be out from under that Koskinen contract.

Yessir. Not saying Smith is the guy either but we have a competent backup coming, who is under contract next year too.

I'd debate who lost faith first. Nicholson or Chia.

Still think he would be good enough to make the playoffs though, if this team could consistently play games. But, likely never able to go all the way with him.

Good goalies don't save teams that play like trash. Our choice guy Gibson is absolutely drowning lately on team Eakins. 6 straight under .900 starts.

He’s not my choice guy.

My choice guy was ‘rumoured’ available awhile ago, MAF. Vegas would be stupid to trade him though.

In positive news the Drai-Yam-RNH line is the best we seen over the three games. It isnt a high bar to clear but someone has to be at the top.

They have 100% (4/4) of the Oilers high danger scoring chances through 2

Is it on the back of Smith’s hockey card too?
