NHL.com has McDavid with his two assists, and only +1? Pretty sure that's wrong.

+1 is now correct.

I'm liking me some Haaaaaas.. great on the PK, forecheck, actually feel his line with #44 and #15 are a threat when they are on the ice.. sorry Kyle.. you lost a job. Now give McLeod a month in Bakersfield and maybe we bring him up for the #4 C, he's supposed to be doing quite well so far in 2 exhibition games down there.. at a minimum his speed will be a factor that make shim a better option than #8

Bouchard looks more confident every shift. Nothing real flashy but solid, confident play. It almost looks weird how calm he is considering the spastic style so many of the Oilers usually show.

I watch real close every time he is in a foot race and while he isnt blazing he seems quick enough so far to be at least adequate. The announcers have mentioned his stick work a few times and it seems make up for any mistakes or lack of first step speed.

Appears to anticipate very well. Ahead of the play. Game is easier if you are not reacting. Seems like he has good hockey sense.

I know it’s the sens. But Bouch has done it all right tonight. I don’t know what the ‘correct’ mix is, but I don’t know how you don’t have him in the top 6 anymore. At least until, unless, he shows you regression. And, again I know it’s the Sens, but I actually like the Nurse-Barrie pair. Do you do something like;

Nurse-Barrie
Lagesson-Bouch
Bear-Larsson

If Bear can play the left side?

I know it’s the sens. But Bouch has done it all right tonight. I don’t know what the ‘correct’ mix is, but I don’t know how you don’t have him in the top 6 anymore. At least until, unless, he shows you regression. And, again I know it’s the Sens, but I actually like the Nurse-Barrie pair. Do you do something like;

Nurse-Barrie
Lagesson-Bouch
Bear-Larsson

If Bear can play the left side?

You don't like the Kookoo?

He's fine...but all the young guys should be ahead of him on the depth chart, including Jones.

Man I forgot about Caleb Jones!

Nurse-Barrie
Lagesson-Bouchard
Jones-Bear

That could be it.

Was gonna ask if the end of Larsson was almost guaranteed. Then that goal happened with Larsson looking like a bum. Hmmm, yeah...

Not a great line change. Larsson late getting there, but it's not really his fault there.

Yeah, just his slowness getting in the way of being able to do anything there. 2 more feet and he's able to do something useful. Ah well. He is what he is.

@zjlaing: name another oilers defenceman who can activate and fire a shot like this. i'll wait.

edit: couldn't figure out how to post the video from the tweet, but it's worth a click.

Not like Koekkoek is old?

He's not old, he's just more limited than the others. His ceiling is relatively low.

Edmonton fans always love those guys - lunch bucket guys who give it their all every night and play with a bit of an edge - but Koekkoek is below all those guys on that list, plus Jones in outright skill. If everyone is playing well and healthy, Koekkoek should be healthy scratched more than he's in the lineup.

Oh I’m a big Koekkoek fan, but Tipp and co seemingly don’t share the same love. I’d put Koekkoek-Bear/Lars as the 3rd pair in a heartbeat.

He’s passing the eye tests from here too.

Tippett does not want the Pulju hat trick. He wants Chia's son goals.

Shots are only 21-16...this game REALLY slowed down after the Oilers went up by 4-0. I think the Oilers have decided just to try to lock it down and play out the game...

Here's hoping they have a little surge though. It would be nice to see a couple more goals here.

It would be real nice to see a JP hatty

Is it just me or is Lagesson a left handed Larsson with better puck moving ability?
