Vets making stupid plays are crushing this team. At what point does Tippett finally give Larsson a tap on the shoulder and get him to sit out a few shifts? If you don't want to sit him for an entire game, fine but why not a few shifts to give him a wake up call. He's CRUSHING this team with mistakes that a guy like him should never make.

Why just Larsson? It's not like Nurse has been tearing it up. And if he sits Larsson, who else is there to step up? This team's depth at D is nonexistent right now.

I don't understand why this team is sucking. Is it in the water? The motivation of half the players is near zero. This is seriously frustrating.

At what point do we start looking more closely at the coaching staff of this "NHL team"?

It's no doubt a fair question to look at Tippett here, but at the same time, we've had way too many coaches in a short period of time. I love the sport, I love the x's and o's of it, I don't get why the Oilers suck. I suppose that's why I'm not professionally employed within hockey.

It's coaching that keeps Nurse on the top PP unit despite his complete inability to show that he belongs there. This is starting to remind me of TMac's tendency to stubbornly cling to player decisions even when shown repeatedly that they do not work.

Too many crap players and none of our acquisitions that depended on guys having huge bounce back seasons appear to have panned out.

Riding a goalie into the ground now too because we were too lazy to even consider making a trade for a goalie. UFA goalies 4 life!

Well, that was a better looking PP, at least. Wondrous what a big difference having a competent point-man can make to a PP. Good job, Dave, on only needing 2 wasted PP's to realize that Nurse is useless there.

I love how the Laffs are finding it funny when they give up another PP given how the Oil have played tonight. It's like they know they can take liberties because the Oil won't make them pay for it.

Oh wait a minute, the Oil are now getting the 5-on-3. Can they finally score with this opportunity?

Not enough Hart Trophy winners. Once we have 4 MVPs in their prime, THEN we will be good.

Gord Miller just bodied the Oilers on the Leafs feed;

You know, it's a myth they're a high scoring team that can't defend. They're actually an average-scoring team that can't defend.
