That's impressive. For me, the 2 year bridge is actually better than the 3 year bridge, because it leaves the player still 2 years out when the final RFA contract needs to be done. AAV is also better than I expected.

He can leverage that of course - because he can take a two-year arbitration settlement to walk himself to UFA, but it's a pretty solid contract.

This was a must win signing... and I think Holland gone did done well on it.

Think I would have like one more year of cost certainty, but the QO isn’t too terrible for what should still be a top 4 dman in 2 years time.

Good signing by Holland. I would have liked another year as well but if I was Bear, no way I would go longer than 2 yrs. I don't see league revenues being back to normal for at least a few years so he has to be hoping they will be a lot better so there is more money.
