So that major was all for nothing and could in fact have cost the Oil too much if Bear is done for tonight....

That was the TSN turning point.. fake call on Nurse cost at least 1 goal for sure.

Yes, but that still leaves 3 minutes of PP time that the Oil wasted....

Oilers wasted that power play themselves just fine without the bad call.

Man, it would be refreshing to see an Oilers player who could consistently get slappers on net on the PP....

Arguable the interference call should have went against Caggiula. What can you do when someone turns in front of you ?

Not a perfect period by any stretch but that was decent.
Got some big saves.
Less bonehead give aways.

Still too many passengers. I hate to agree with Cassie but Kassian might as well have opted out. He has been absent for the most part, floating around and contributing nothing physically.

Glad Bear came back. I dont think Russell and Jones have been bad but pushing either one of them into heavier minutes/matchups would likely be a death nail.

I'm expecting to see one of Drai or McDavid on the ice for pretty much the whole period.

Yeah, That's an inopportune goal to give up. Hawks have had an easy time being in the scoring areas since game 1.

This team is embarrassing. What a terrible ending to the year.

Awesome that we have McDavid and Draisaitl, however everyone else is stupid and/or a plug.

I wasn't even really expecting them to make the playoffs, and I think most if not all of us were not realistically thinking that this team could actually threaten for a championship. There are just too many gaps that need to be filled, not the least of which is a true top-pairing D-man....

Back against the wall. Should have taken the chance to play Smith. Almost like a 3rd defenseman. Risky yes. But it's worked many times Its awesome when it does and risky when it doesnt. When your backs against the wall isnt that when you try? We will never know

I'm so thankful we're done with Smith and the Cult of Smith after this. He's terrible, he was terrible all year other than a couple memorable games. We paid him too much and his bonuses hurt next year's cap too. And now we're done with him.

Incoming two year deal.

You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you can get a lottery pick.
