Oiler needs to be held like a rodeo steer before the refs will make a call.

This team is going to get less powerplay opportunities if they make the postseason. The officials seem to stop calling things they called during the regular season.

They won’t be able to sleepwalk through playoff games waiting for the penalties to get called, so 29 and 97 can put on their fancy pants and fix everything.

This team seems so far away to me right now.

Welcome back, hope you enjoyed the Vegas trip! Too bad the boys didn’t deliver when you were there.

Signs are pointing to Yamamoto returning on this upcoming roady. That should spark the 2nd line again and Kass can go play with Shea and Arch. That will allow Tipp to roll three lines.

Once Klef is back, which should be shortly, the defense will be positively effected also. Nurse won’t have to play 25+ minutes a night which is a very good thing.

Thanks gasm. I’m gonna update that thread tomorrow.

It will be interesting where everyone slots when the smoke clears. Hopefully the chemistry doesn’t take too long.

Lookin forward to it!

AA and Archie swapped to start the 3rd. Arch with 97 and 63, AA with 23 and 52... AA probably feels right at home playing with Sheahan and PRussell (red wings joke..)

Sheahan line gets to be scored on twice in 30 seconds. That's just wild man. Why even allow that to happen.

I get it. That line has been solid this season. Give up one and you put them right back out to tell them you still trust them. Backfired, but I get where Tipp came from.

Sadly been out for 6 5v5 goals now in the last 4 games. With 0 goals for. They generate nothing.

I get wanting to show trust in your guys. But putting that line out lately is just conceding that you are going to do nothing offensive in response to being scored on.

Drai is really making a case for winning the Hart this season. That was a great pass to Nuge for the goal...

Rieder had a history though...terrible season last year, but he'd at least done it before. Nothing Patrick Russell has ever shown suggests that he should be on an NHL roster. I have no idea why we keep playing him this year.

Hopefully Yamamoto is back next game. It'll be interesting to see if that pushes Kassian up to the McDavid line, or down to the Sheahan line...Archibald playing with Ennis and McDavid for much of the third period.

Id think Kass with Ennis and McDavid, Arch with Sheahan and AA. The the normal Drai line.

Saw a stat that Russell has been on the ice for 5/7 of the last ES goals against us.

That's damn impressive honestly. He barely plays.

I’d say Haas’ line is the 4th, not Sheehan’s.

AA demoted to the 4th line for killing plays on McDavid's line. Bummer. Get it together soon AA.

Ah, true, based on ice time. They are both 4th lines in my mind though :)

We’ve got two lines trying to win the game in regulation and two lines holding on for OT.

Eh tough to argue that, we have 2 4ths right now.

Can we at least agree that Smith has taken our 2A spot? (Neither are 1’s in my mind)

His numbers are skewed from playing with Drai. Drai is almost as good a play maker as Conner, maybe even as good. Love Nuge though and like that he's getting a chance to use his offensive abilities more now.Great shot on that goal.

Call 911, I think I'm having a heart attack... Smith keeping us in it. What a fantastic game this has been.
