The best non empty net goal attempt. Biggest 2 points of the season.

Great game from Smith. Battling to the max.

Drai keeps racking up points. Keep loving winger Nuge.

Really hope we can find something that clicks with McDavid. His talent is not able to show like it should be. AA had a rough night. Hope there could still be some chemistry there.

They need some practice together. AA isn’t a up and down player. Hopefully he’s smart enough to figure it out and soon. Every game is N’Huge right now!

This was one of the best games this year, may not have been fun to watch at the end as we defended like the cup was on the line, but it was a cracking game none the less.

Our performance in the second left a lot to be desired, but we pushed through it, snatched the late goal and that really turned the game. Smith's game tonight was very reminiscent of Talbot's performances in 16/17, battling to give us a chance of the win.

Got to say also that whilst our bottom 6 don't score a ton of goals and they seem to come in spurts when they do, they really know how to battle and do a job for the team. JJ was unlucky tonight and one day I will get up in the middle of the night and see P Russell score a goal for the Oilers, game 7 of the cup finals in OT perhaps??

Part of me is thinking AA isn't 100%. He seems a bit timid.

He missed the majority of January with... I think it was a shoulder injury and then had that leg bruise(?) earlier this week.

Hope with some practice time he can find chem with McDavid. Worst case, Yams comes back and the top 3 become;
Ennis-McDavid-Kassian
Nuge-Drai-Yams
AA-Shea-Archie

Not terrible.

Drai could very well end up with a higher points season than McDavid has managed so far (116). I'd actually be disappointed at this point if he didn't. 15 points to go in 17 games.

26 points in the last 17 matches Kucherov's season last year.

After most of that 2nd period, I didn't think this would be the outcome, even after the Oilers tied it. Jets would have bagged this if they didn't put the Oilers on the PP.

Big nights for Smith, LD, and Nuge to lead the team. Goalie win. Smith is clearly the best option in goal, imo.

Some switching on Connor's line, A's off it, they never got traction 5v5. Again, fortunately the Oilers are pretty awesome on the PP. I think Kass has to go back to Connor's wing, but who knows?

With Yams nearly back and Neal maybe not too far away, it'll be interesting to see who plays, and where. The forward depth will be pretty significant.

I'd like to see Tippett giving Nurse a much more simplified role during this playoff push.

Tipp currently has him in on too many PP or offensive zone type opportunities & Nurse as a result is missing easy assignments on his own end of the ice....

Yeah chemistry is an issue on McDavid's line with all the new guys but we NEED to see him gel with whoever as ES production should improve.

Nurse will go back to a simplified role once Klefbom is back, likely after this now current road trip, or sooner ;)

I hope so. Play dies on his stick regularly. Not at a Lucic level but he isn’t one of the ones with great vision.

You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you can get a lottery pick.
