Clearly McDavid is expendable at this point.

You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you can get a lottery pick.

I think we could get a slightly better version of Adam Larsson for him. Trouba?

Huge. Huuuuge regulation win. Bravo Draigentmoto.

Smith played well. I know Adam isn’t a fan but I like Smith’s compete. The goals he let in tonight, cross slot passes that you can point to defensive breakdowns (goal 2 while we’re on pp..).

My boy Riley Sheahan gets another one closer to dub diggies.

Yams has more goals on the season than Milan Lucic.

Oh! And we got an empty netter!

Love that Yams kid. Damn he works hard, all night long he's hounding guys for pucks.

If Drai dominates in this run, he really should be up for the Hart. Guy is just running away with the Art Ross right now and hasn't played 5v5 with McDavid for over a month. Just please, Tippett, find a way to keep his minutes down.

It's the "compete" with Smith that I don't like. Too much chaos. Too much time out of position and fighting to get back. It looks like he's working really hard...but that's not a good thing from your goalie. It means he's more often out of position.

That one goal against was REALLY ugly and there was a point where it looked like a last-shot-wins kind of night. Ultimately though, tonight is a night where Smith finishes above .900 in save percentage and the Oilers win, so I'll go easy on him here. He was perfectly adequate to beat the 'Hawks tonight.

I mean he IS our best puck mover from the backend, so he’s going to have to leave his crease to get the puck up ice a few (dozen) times a game.

Also, team (and Smith) hasn’t lost in regulation in 2020 when Smith starts (yet). He sports an 8-0-2 record this calendar year.

A chaotically entertaining game. I loved how we skated though. Be nice to see that effort every game.

I watched that game last night basically through my fingers with my hands on my face. Not the best thing to do with flu and coronavirus out there, but I'll take my chances.

Glad they got the W, now get a couple points down in ACC country and see where things land.

BIG win!! Hawks are behind them but not by a lot and have been playing very well. Has to give them a little confidence that they can do it.

Leon absolutely dominated last night.

A win when I expected a loss. I was surprised by the big presences of Draisaitl and Yamo, and Bear was doing amazing things out there; he looks like a seasoned pro!

Good game, great win.

The very definition of insanity is doing the exact same thing expecting different results.

Generally Disappointed.
