I had been pleasantly surprised by Gravel’s game this year. When Petrovic is healthy, the two of them I think would make a pretty good 3rd pairing.
Manning needs to go.

I agree, on both counts. Benning as the number 7 isn't terrible, because it puts Manning as the 8. And really we already had a Manning... Benning is a cheaper, younger, Manning.
I did give Manning credit for the little play he made, in the 1st(?) last night, to allow Nuge to get a shot off, but aside from that the dude is a dud and a liability.

I fear if they lose badly, Chiarelli will have another one of those sleepless nights like he had after the 7-4 loss to the Sharks in late December.
Then Pete will unsexy the prospect pool for a (no term) 3rd or 4th line winger that had a good season a few years ago.

Sounds like all 23 players will be taking warmup and Hitch will decide on lineup based on that... interesting.
Also, Ferland woke up 'not feeling well'. Perhaps he was told they may leave him in Edmonton leaving him feel sick to his stomach.
