Oilers might just want to throw the 1995 NJ Devils trap out there tonight. May be the only chance they have of slowing down the Jets.

It looks like the 1-2-2 that MacT used with the Oil during their playoff run in '06. Enh, they need to do it with the injuries to their defense group. It helps that Cambot looks like he came to play tonight.

Hey, look at Spooner getting the goal! More secondary scoring is good.

How was there not a penalty on that 2-man mugging of McDavid?

Not good to see that Garrison is still a useless tool. That was a completely unnecessary interference penalty. Seriously, how much worse could Jones be than this guy?

Benning overcommitting and leaving Perrault completely open. Sigh.

Chaisson left his man uncovered on the first goal. Benning needed to clear that puck on the second goal though. 83 always scares me when deep in the Oilers' end.

It's not Talbot's fault, but he has to be pulled now if the Oil are to have any chance of pulling this game out.

To be fair, that 2nd goal was a very unlucky deflection off Gravel's skate. Still, if Talbot lets another one in before the Oil score again, he needs to be pulled.

Yeah, just bad luck on the second one but Benning took himself out of the play on the first one with that hit while short handed. Not smart!

Anyone else catch the Jet jumping off the ice while his teammate played the puck? Looked like too many men. Benning needed to hit Byfuglien but let him skate by.

Benning on for all the goals against. There seems to be a consistent...

Not a big fan of Beyak tonight, particularly how much he was harping on the Nurse goal. It wasn't kicked in, Dennis, just deal with it.

Look at the refs handling that damn thug Connor with his 2nd penalty. Good thing that they're protecting the rest of the league from this terror of the ice.

Jets are no joke. They are good and oddly motivated for a Thursday game in December. I'm impressed the Oilers are keeping up, even if just barely.

This is all the more impressive given the defense corps they have on the ice tonight. However, one thing they need to stop doing is allowing Jets players to just walk in from the point. They're not helping Talbot by letting guys like Laine and Schiefle just take those shots from within 10 feet....
